Save the Cairns Taipans

April 17th, 2009:

The Cairns ‘Bartercard’ Marlins will open their 2009 Queensland Basketball League season with an Inter-squad challenge this Sunday, April 19 at the Bendigo Bank Basketball Centre (Fish Tank).

The game tips-off at 2pm with the team being split into respective ‘Blue’ & ‘White’ squads.

The Blue squad includes Kerry Williams, Deba George, Aaron Grabau, James Comino, Garrett Ellwood, Jacob Pilot, Bryce Whitaker & David Mills.

The White Squad is made up of Curt Ahwang, Joel Khalu, Dwayne Vale, Dean Brebner, Rowan Gray, Conrad Ahwang, Reece Craigie & Matthew Adekponya.

The Cairns ‘Down Under Tours’ Dolphins will also play an inter-squad game before the Marlins tipping off at 12 Noon.

Gates open at 11am with free entry to both games.
