Thank you Cairns for your amazing response to put the Taipans into public ownership.

We have had a lot of mail congratulating us on what we did, but what we did was simply put the opportunity out there, and each and every Foundation member respondent and every one who donated what they could to form a syndicate are the people who need congratulating!!!!

Tomorrow we start discussions with the Receiver, our honorary legal adviser and the NBL/BA about the next steps.We will keep you informed during the week as things progress, but please keep next Saturday, the Taipans last home game for this season in your diary,and pencil in an inaugural meeting of Foundation members at 6.15pm prior to the game at the Convention Centre. More details on that will be posted Monday or Tuesday.

Make sure you look after your Valentine early in the day so you can help us pack the Convention Centre out on Saturday night.

As elated as you all must feel,please spare a thought and your prayers
for the people affected by floods and fires. We will ask the Receiver
tomorrow to consider allowing a collection by a registered charity at the
game on Saturday for those affected.

This week we will commence an on line survey of season ticket holders to
guage their intentions for next season...watch for that and other news
that will unfold during the week.
