SNAKES ALIVE!!! We now need to call a meeting at the Convention Centre on Saturday 14th February to arrive at a decision to incorporate Cairns Taipans Inc. We anticipate the meeting will start at 6.30pm, and we ask interested Foundation & syndicate members to start arriving about 6.10pm to register. Board positions will be honorary. We think the make-up of the Board should possess the following skills; Legal expertise/accounting expertise/Basketball administration expertise/Marketing expertise/ General Business expertise/grass roots level basketball experience and if possible someone with elite level coaching experience to provide support and direction to coaching and administration staff with player management/recruiting and scouting. We are now calling for applications from interested parties, so if you would like to be considered for a board position please have a brief of why you should be considered ready for us to post online (see links to forms below), together with the names of a nominator and seconder. Positions to be elected are President, Treasurer, Secretary plus two Committee members. We propose to have 2 other positions on the Board, one to be selected by the Board to represent grass roots basketball in the region, and a nominee of the Major Sponsors to be elected by the Major Sponsors (we will determine cut off value for Major Sponsor list as we sign off agreements with the Major Sponsors).
