What an unbelievable end to the season....scores locked up against the best team in the league with clock showing expired but a fraction of a second left before buzzer, a foul call, 2 shots made, could the end have been crueler for the team and coaches? The way the season ended probably put brackets around the start and end of the period when the team was in administration, and the stuff the team and coaches dealt with under adversity to reveal their true colours.The benchmark set, of toughing it out and giving 100% effort is what our starting point will be for season 2009/10. Progress was made off the court with the Foundation and Syndicate members voting unanimously to incorporate, and move forward with the process of gaining admission to the New NBL for next season. The Board is; The Board will select a representative from the grass roots basketball community to fill another position, and the meeting voted to have a representative of the Major Sponsors fill another position. We will now move quickly to complete discussions with Major Sponsors, and will commence Season ticket and Corporate Box holder surveys this week to allow us to build sound budgets as part of the process of establishing viability.The major hurdle of the $1m guarantee will also be re addressed this week and progress will be posted here on the website.
