While Phoenix struggled at the start of the game, it was Timberwolves who jumped out of the blocks and looked to find their rhythm early on, establishing a 13-12 lead at the first quarter break.

The second quarter saw both teams a little more settled at the offensive end with Timberwolves captain James Comino and Phoenix guard Curt Ahwang establishing themselves with some tough baskets.  Phoenix went into halftime with a 38-34 lead.

Both teams continued to trade baskets in the third quarter.  Behind some hot perimeter shooting from Phoenix Guards Mark Moseling & Jacob Pilot, Phoenix stretched their lead to seven, starting the fourth quarter up 57-50.

In the fourth quarter Phoenix Captain Luke Gray took control of the game with a number of 3-point plays extending the Phoenix lead out to 10 with just under two minutes left on the clock.  Gray was outstanding finishing with a game-high 17-points to claim the Player of the Grand Final Award.

Veteran Phoenix guard Gausa Arnold also stepped up when needed, converting 11 of 12 free throws while contributing 13 points.  James Comino paced the Timberwolves with 17, while Dean Brebner added 13.
